Rep. Glenn Ivey, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Maryland's 4th district since 2023, has recently expressed his views on various pressing issues through a series of tweets. These statements reflect his stance on immigration enforcement actions, legislative collaborations, and federal funding policies.

On January 28, 2025, Rep. Ivey criticized immigration enforcement activities in sensitive locations such as places of worship and public schools. He stated: "Ice raids in our places of worship and public schools are shameful. I support efforts to push back in Congress and in the courts against this unconscionable defiance of basic constitutional protections."

Later that day, Rep. Ivey shared his appreciation for a productive discussion with Jim Townsend from the Levin Center. He tweeted: "Currently….. Thank you to Jim Townsend, Director at the @Levin_Center for joining me for a fruitful conversation today! I am looking forward to watching the final cut of our interview."

In another tweet posted on January 28, 2025, Rep. Ivey addressed concerns regarding a funding freeze announced by President Trump. He commented: "President Trump’s funding freeze will make it harder for people to get basic services they count on. It blocks funding to pay teachers, support first responders, sustain lifesaving medical research, provide mental health services, & house homeless veterans. This cannot stand."
