Steny Hoyer, a long-serving U.S. Congressman representing Maryland's 5th District, shared a series of tweets on February 14, 2025, covering topics ranging from veteran appreciation to fiscal policy. Hoyer, who has been in Congress since 1981, continues to engage with constituents and address national issues.

On February 14, 2025, Hoyer expressed gratitude for the community's involvement in the "Valentines for Vets" initiative. He stated, "Thank you to all who participated in #MD05's Valentines for Vets! My office delivered hundreds of cards to Veterans at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home and the Walter Reed Medical Center. I am proud to continue showing appreciation to & serving those who have served our country."

Later that day, he criticized Republican fiscal policies in another tweet. On February 14, 2025, he commented on budgetary matters by saying, "Republicans want to explode the deficit while using the tax dollars of hard-working Americans to fund tax cuts for billionaires and big corporations. Democrats will continue mobilizing against these maneuvers and working to lower costs for working families."

Hoyer also reflected on his collaboration with a congressional coalition known as the House Blue Dogs. In his tweet from February 14, 2025, he remarked on their role in Congress: "For 30 years, @HouseBlueDogs have been a crucial voice for promoting fiscal responsibility in Congress & played a key role in enacting Democratic accomplishments such as the #ACA & the #IRA.
