Rep. Glenn Ivey, a U.S. Congressman representing Maryland's Fourth District, recently shared his perspectives on social media regarding key issues affecting his constituents and the nation. Ivey, who has been serving in Congress since 2023 after replacing Anthony Brown, addressed concerns about budget plans, paid tribute to a colleague, and announced an upcoming town hall meeting.

On March 13, 2025, Rep. Glenn Ivey criticized the budget plan proposed by House Republicans, stating that it "does not serve working class Americans." He emphasized the impact of this plan on families with children and vulnerable populations in Maryland’s Fourth Congressional District, particularly seniors reliant on Medicaid. "The budget plan proposed by House Republicans does not serve working class Americans. In Maryland’s Fourth Congressional District, this plan impacts families with children, and our most vulnerable populations, including seniors, who rely on Medicaid."

On March 14, 2025, Rep. Ivey expressed his sorrow over the passing of Chairman Raúl Grijalva. He acknowledged Grijalva's over two decades of service in Congress where he championed community rights, Tribal nations' interests, environmental justice initiatives, public lands protection efforts, and climate change action. "I was saddened to hear my colleague Chairman Raúl Grijalva had passed. Over his 20+ years in Congress, he championed the rights of our communities, Tribal nations, environmental justice, public lands, and the fight against climate change."

Later that day on March 14th, Rep. Ivey announced an upcoming town hall meeting scheduled for March 18 at Suitland High School Auditorium in Forestville. The event aims to discuss recent updates pertinent to Maryland’s Fourth Congressional District residents."Next week Tuesday March 18 at 6:30 p.m., my office will be hosting an in-person town hall at Suitland High School Auditorium (5200 Silver Hill Road Forestville MD 20747). Please join us to discuss the latest updates in Maryland’s Fourth Congressional District."
