MARYLAND DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES: Natural Resources Police Collecting ‘Boatload of Toys’

Maryland Department of Natural Resources issued the following announcement on Dec. 27.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police is conducting its annual “Boatload of Toys” drive at several locations this year, collecting donations of new, unopened items for less fortunate children.

Officers and other staff manage this program each year as part of the national Marine Toys for Tots program, which was created at the behest of the U.S. Marine Corps to collect and distribute toys to less fortunate children during the holiday season.

Natural Resources Police staff will be at the following locations:

Kent Island, Dec. 1

Kmart, 200 Kent Manor Dr., Stevensville

9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Frederick, Dec. 1

Kmart, 1003 W. Patrick St., Frederick

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Salisbury, Dec. 1-2

Walmart Supercenter, 2702 N. Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury

10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Edgewater, Dec. 2

Kmart, 3255 Solomon’s Island Road, Edgewater

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Hanover, Dec. 15-16

Bass Pro Shops (Arundel Mills), 7000 Arundel Mills Cir., Hanover

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
