Census Bureau: 77.7% of people in Maryland were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 6,148,545 citizens living in Maryland in 2021, 77.7% were old enough to vote, equating to 4,775,396 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 2,293,634 were male, constituting 48%, and 2,481,762 were female, making up 52%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Maryland during 2021 was higher than the national average, which stands at 77.5%.
