Glenn Ivey, a U.S. Congressman representing Maryland's 4th district since 2023, has been vocal on social media about key issues such as healthcare access and gun violence. He succeeded Anthony Brown in Congress and has previously served in the Maryland House of Representatives.

On June 13, 2025, Ivey addressed the challenges faced by Americans in accessing healthcare. In his tweet, he stated: "Healthcare access shouldn’t depend on how much paperwork you can navigate. I’m standing with @ChrisVanHollen to break down the barriers that keep Americans from the care they deserve. The Trump administration gutted health programs and made it harder for families to enroll—we’re".

In another post on June 13, 2025, Ivey highlighted efforts to address gun violence, which he described as a public health crisis. He invited followers to participate in an upcoming event: "Gun violence is a public health crisis—and we’re taking action. Glenn Ivey was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts in 1961 and currently resides in Cheverly. He graduated from Princeton University with a BA in 1983 and earned a JD from Harvard Law School in 1986.
