Rep. Glenn Ivey, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Maryland’s 4th district, recently shared his views on various topics through a series of tweets. Ivey, who replaced Anthony Brown in 2023 and has previously served in the Maryland House of Representatives, addressed issues ranging from veterans' care to youth engagement.

On June 17, 2025, Rep. Glenn Ivey expressed strong opposition to new rules by the Veterans Affairs (VA), describing them as "outrageous." He criticized these rules for denying care to veterans based on their political affiliation or marital status. Ivey stated that such actions are not only unethical but also "un-American," attributing this policy shift to former President Donald Trump as an attempt to politicize institutions and penalize dissenters. The full statement can be accessed here.

In another tweet posted shortly after, Ivey shared a link without additional commentary. The post can be viewed here.

Later that day, Rep. Glenn Ivey reminded constituents about the upcoming deadline for Youth Advisory Board applications. He emphasized that middle and high school students residing in Maryland’s Fourth Congressional District should submit their applications by August 1st. More details about the application process can be found here.

Glenn Ivey was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts in 1961 and currently resides in Cheverly. He holds a BA from Princeton University and a JD from Harvard Law School.
