Rep. Glenn Ivey, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Maryland’s 4th district, has been active on social media, sharing his thoughts on national issues and recent events. Having replaced Anthony Brown in 2023, Ivey brings a wealth of experience from his previous service in the Maryland House of Representatives.

On July 4, 2025, Rep. Ivey commemorated Independence Day by reflecting on the nation's founding principles. He stated, "Nearly two and a half centuries ago, our nation was born with a promise of liberty and justice for all. This Independence Day, we remember the sacrifices of those who fought for our freedoms as we seek to make that promise come true for all Americans."

On July 7, 2025, he voiced his opposition to a recently passed bill associated with former President Donald Trump. In his tweet, he expressed concern over the legislation's impact: "Trump's big ugly bill passed and is essentially one hand robbing the other to pay for billionaire tax breaks. Watch my interview expressing opposition over the weekend:" He provided a link to an interview where he elaborated on his stance.

Later that same day, Rep. Ivey expressed empathy for those affected by severe flooding in Texas. He tweeted: "My heart breaks for those impacted by the devastating flooding in Texas. I am keeping the victims and their families in my prayers. We are all very grateful to the first responders for their selflessness in the face of danger."

Glenn Ivey was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts in 1961 and resides in Cheverly at age 62. An alumnus of Princeton University (BA) and Harvard Law School (JD), he has been serving Maryland’s 4th District since early 2023.
