On National Oyster Day, Sunday, August 5, participating shell recycling restaurants throughout Maryland, D.C. and Virginia will donate 10 cents from every oyster sold to the Oyster Recovery Partnership. Each oyster sold will fund the planting of 10 baby oysters onto sanctuary reefs in the Chesapeake Bay!
Better yet, Congressional Seafood Co. has committed to match a portion of the day’s proceeds!
