Maryland Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on May 11.
At its annual meeting on Tuesday, the Maryland Chamber of Commerce officially accepted its 2019-2020 board.
Baltimore Gas & Electric President and Chief Operating Officer Steve Woerner stepped into his new role as chair, taking over for Nate Beil, President and Chief Executive Officer of KCI Technologies Inc. who will remain on the executive committee as the immediate past chair. Executive Director of Kaiser Permanente Gracelyn McDermott will take over for Woerner as vice chair. Denis Dunn, State President for Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Delaware at AT&T will serve as treasurer.
Six Maryland business leaders joined the board for their first terms of service:

Steve Navarro, Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Mind Over Machines
Mary Penczek, Vice President, Commercial Mid/Large Group Sales & Client Management, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield
Brent Reitz, President, Adventist Healthcare Inc.
Jerry Sanford, Economic Development Manager, Washington Gas
Two board members were reappointed to new terms:
Thomas Lewis, Johns Hopkins University
Benjamin Yingling, Crawford Yingling Insurance
The Maryland Chamber thanked nine members for their service as they retired from the board:

The annual meeting concluded just before the Maryland Chamber’s Inspire MD event kicked off at the MGM National Harbor.
