Rep. Glenn Ivey, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Maryland’s 4th district, has voiced his stance on various political issues through a series of tweets. Ivey, who replaced Anthony Brown in 2023, shared his perspectives on the actions of former President Trump and Elon Musk, as well as advice regarding employment decisions.

On February 5, 2025, Rep. Glenn Ivey expressed his support for federal employees against what he described as "unrelenting attacks by President Trump & his demolition crew led by Elon Musk." He stated that he stands with fellow representatives Steny Hoyer and Gerry Connolly as House Democrats oppose "lawless executive orders." "We must continue to defend the federal government & its' civilian employees from unrelenting attacks by President Trump & his demolition crew led by Elon Musk. I stand with @RepStenyHoyer & @GerryConnolly as @HouseDemocrats fight back against these lawless executive orders."

In a subsequent tweet on the same day, Ivey emphasized that House Democrats are not alone in their efforts. He highlighted their collaboration with organizations like Democracy Forward and AFGE National to challenge what he called reckless decisions by the administration in court. "Importantly, House Democrats are not fighting this fight alone. We are proud to battle alongside @DemocracyFwd, @AFGENational, and other organizations that are on the frontlines of challenging this administration's reckless decisions in court."

Later that day, Rep. Ivey advised individuals not to rush employment decisions based on Elon Musk's non-binding offer referred to as "Fork in the Road." He encouraged people to read an article explaining why such haste might be unwarranted. "I urge you to not rush any decisions about the future of your employment based on Elon Musk's non-binding 'Fork in the Road' offer."
