EDA awards over $60 million in grants for economic development projects in Maryland in 2022

In 2022, the Economic Development Administration (EDA) issued 18 grants totaling $60,981,336 to fund economic development projects in Maryland.

This represents a 1,051.7% increase over 2021, when the state received $5,294,937 in funding.

Maryland ranked 22nd across the U.S. in total EDA grant funding for 2022. California topped the list with $238,656,132 in funding across 57 grants.

Maryland Department of Labor received the largest EDA grant for funding an economic development project in the state, totalling $22,952,185.
