Steny Hoyer, a longstanding U.S. Congress member representing Maryland's 5th District since 1981, recently addressed the state of the nation and public services through a series of tweets. Later in the day, Hoyer highlighted concerns about proposed cuts to Medicaid, stating "Cuts to Medicaid would decimate emergency services, raise costs, and diminish reliable health care in the nation's capital." Alongside Rep. Eleanor Norton and Sen. Chris Van Hollen, he led a letter condemning the impact of these cuts on the region.
