On May 1, 2025, Hoyer expressed gratitude for joining a celebration honoring the recipients of the Sheptytsky Award, presented by the Ukrainian Jewish Encounter. He remarked, "Great to join a celebration tonight for this year’s recipients of the @ukrainianjewish Sheptytsky Award, Lina Kostenko and Bernard Henry Levi." He continued by expressing the hope that the awardees' "moral courage" would inspire ongoing efforts for a Ukrainian victory.

Later on the same day, Hoyer criticized proposed Republican cuts to Medicaid, asserting that such actions would detrimentally impact American families. In his post, he declared, "Republicans' cuts to Medicaid would force millions of American families to lose coverage & access to vital care." He labeled these efforts as "cruel & catastrophic."

In a final post shared on May 1, Hoyer promoted an event aimed at aspiring Armed Services members. He encouraged participation from local youth by writing, "U.S. Service Academies provide an acclaimed education, leadership experience, & opportunity to serve & defend our country." He announced the upcoming 44th Annual Service Academy & College ROTC Showcase.
